THE AL DURAH AFFAIR: THE STAKES

There are a number of major issues that this dossier sheds light upon. First it underlines the appalling current state of the Mainstream Media, something people from all sides of the political spectrum have begun to suspect. Second, it illumines the nature of the conflict and the inadequate ways with which we try to understand it. This in particular concerns the dynamics of "peace negotiations," and helps to explain why, so far, they have been so labored and so limited in their accomplishments, and, in the most recent case of the "Oslo Peace Process," backfired into one of the ugliest declarations of war in recorded history. Lastly this tale reveals with remarkable precision the dynamics of both Arab/Muslim, and Western European culture.
