INTRO TO RECEPTION AND CONSEQUENCES

The significance of the al Durah footage lies entirely in its spectacular global impact which hit and affected different cultures differently, but stands at the beginning of a chain of events which, even after al Durahs may be forgotten, continues to have a major impact on the global community in this young 21st century. The most terrible single impact of this footage has been the transformation of suicide terrorism into an approved “weapon of resistance” which has now come to haunt, including those who first welcomed it with such enthusiasm. We offer here, the three central cultures hit by it and affected by its toxic wake – Palestinian/Arab/Muslim, Western, and Israeli.
